If you have ever walked the streets of Austin, there is no doubt that you have come across one of Ami Plasse‘s signature angry clouds. They are everywhere, and he is everywhere, doodling the speakers at CreativeMornings by day and the bands at Mohawk by night.

Ami’s illustrations evoke emotion. They are quick and filled with action. They are his experience with the space around him and luckily he shares them for all of us to see. At times the drawings are political, and at others they’re just for fun. They can mean whatever you want them to mean.

If you have been boarded up inside your room or don’t happen to frequent Austin, you can check out some of Ami’s illustrations below. Ami appeared in our double issue 03 & 04. To see more of his work, visit his website which is constantly updated with new material or Instagram.

P.S. We’ll never forget that one time Ami drew Zach pitching Almost Real Things at CreativeMornings before our first issue even existed!
