One thing that is apparent in all of Logan Lockett’s illustrations is his sense of humor.

He transforms doodles into more than a sketch on a page by adding color and surreal elements. I was drawn to them not only for their looks, but also for the titles. They are so straight forward, i.e. “Old Man in Purple Speedo Confronted By Giant Water Frog,” that they make me laugh, whether that was the intention or not.

Logan primarily works as a photographer but also started his own design company, Milky Güey, to showcase his illustrations. He felt that the colorful and playful content would transfer perfectly to prints and clothing.

Logan appeared in our double issue 03 & 04. You can find more of his work on his website and instagram.
