Printmaking and Mixed Media artist Cathy Savage loves exploring the nuances of her art.

Her excitement with mathematics and scientific theories shines through her work and gives her pieces an amazing sense of harmony that your brain immediately recognizes but takes its time to process. It makes us think and we love that.

“I’m fascinated with the printmaking process, especially the delightful surprises that come the first time a new plate is pulled. I gravitate towards the textural effects of collagraphs finding platemaking is only limited by one’s imagination.”

Check out more of her work on her website and be sure to see a great explanation of her process on the slideshow at the bottom of her about page.
