Photographer Laura Malischke can make your creative fantasy come true.

Three years ago Laura started Creative Fantasy Images, because she wanted to approach portraiture in an entirely new way. The finished product won’t have you posing in front of a solid backdrop. Instead, Laura builds a world around the subject in post production to reflect their inner desires, personality and dreams.

I’ve been a photographer for nearly 15 years, primarily focusing on boudoir, pin-up and fashion.

Originally from Wisconsin, my family moved to Puerto Rico for five years where I began honing my photoshop skills. We moved to Austin in 2019 and I recently opened Creative Fantasy Images, which offers very non-traditional and whimsical portraiture for families and individuals.

Instead of traditional, static portraiture I focus on creating an image that showcases the subject’s interests, passions, accomplishments or dreams.

I love how every photo is completely unique. I know every photographer says that, but it’s really true for me! Whether the model is bursting out of a book, petting a unicorn, wing-walking on a biplane, or riding a dinosaur, I thrive on the challenge to create it.

It’s exhilarating to dive into what we can take out of my subject’s imagination and collaborate together to bring it to life. No other photographer in Austin does this particular type of photography and I’m thrilled to bring it to the city.
