Issue 17 contributor Kerry Hugins is inspired by the abundant wildflower scenes she finds in central Texas.

What is your artistic process like?
I find color to be my biggest inspiration and the wild flower scene does not disappoint here in central Texas. Whether I am painting flowers or using the found color in a wildflower in my contemporary watercolors color is a major role. I use watercolor and watercolor crayons in my work and sometimes illustration pens. I was formally trained at a fancy art school but that was eons ago and my work is my own now.
