Want to go back in time? Give BJ Wilbanks new single, “Don’t Fight The Feelin’,” a listen.

Now, doesn’t it feel like you just tossed a quarter in a jukebox while you sipped on a milkshake with some friends? Wilbanks, a Georgia-based artist, keeps his music both genuine and authentic. With his southern twist of blues and 60s rock, one can assume he was raised on soul.

The pops of do-wop and hints of “oohs” and “ahhs” are an enhancement to the retro sensation of this track.

“Don’t Fight The Feelin’.” Really. Don’t fight it.

This Motown mood will make you want to move and groove. Wilbanks wants you to take a step back and live in the moment. “Slow it down honey, don’t go so fast, grab a piece of something and make it last.” The pops of do-wop and hints of “oohs” and “ahhs” are an enhancement to the retro sensation of this track. To top it off even more, Donna Hopkins and her powerful lungs are featured. It’s no doubt that the two of their vocals together are a match for an Americana bop. It just might be impossible to listen to BJ Wilbanks and “Don’t Fight The Feelin’” without your day getting a little brighter.
